M88 Malaysia is delighted to announce that Ms. Xiong Tao joined the firm as partner. Ms. Xiong works at M88 Malaysia’s Shanghai office.


Ms. Xiong focuses on corporate and M&A, private equity, venture capital and outbound investment. Before joining M88 Malaysia, Ms. Xiong worked for over eight years as a partner at two Chinese law firms in Shanghai, where she specialized in private equity and venture capital investments, as well as cross-border mergers and acquisitions. She also practiced for many years at K&L Gates LLP in the United States and O’Melveny & Myers LLP in Shanghai in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment and venture capital financing. Before becoming a practicing lawyer, Ms. Xiong worked as a lecturer-in-law at the law school of Renmin University of China.
